Discover Copenhagen’s contrasts
Our extended Classic Bike Tour lets you discover the contrasts between the historical city centre and the famous alternative community of Christiania.
Full day bike rent included.
15.6 km / 13 stops / 3-4 hours.
This tour guides you to classic sights in the medieval core of Copenhagen, including the Round Tower, the Copenhagen Cathedral, Christiansborg Palace and many more.
Most destinations overlap with those of the Classic Tour, except four stops in the beautiful canal-neighbourhood of Christianshavn and the old navy area of Holmen. Here you will also visit the alternative community of Christiania, including some of its far flung and rarely visited parts.
The tour involves a short trip across the port on one of Copenhagen’s yellow harbour ferries.
Please be aware that the ferry ticket (24 dkk pr person) is not included in the tour price.
Once you get off the ferry the tour continues to famous spots like The Little Mermaid, the old Citadel, the picturesque historical navy quarters of Nyboder and the renaissance palace of Rosenborg.
Length and duration: The tour is 15.6 km long and will take you to 13 destinations. At each stop you can listen to informative, anecdotal stories and browse images using the audio/visual GPS-guide on your bike. Expect to spend between 3-4 hours on this tour. However, you can easily skip destinations along the way and make it shorter if you wish. Most visitors choose to pause at one or more destinations along the tour, since most have public access. The tour can therefore easily become a full-day trip.
The battery in your audio-visual GPS device allows min. 5 hours of non-stop usage.
You can extend the battery life by switching off the device whenever you take a break.
